IPv6? What is that?
Currently, IPv4 is the primary method of network addressing. Although IPv4 provides 4.3 billion addresses, we are running out of IPv4 addresses rapidly, to the point where experts believe that addresses will be completely used up in early 2010. This has led to the creation of IPv6, which in contrast provides 3.4x1038 addresses. InfoRelay is absolutely proud to be a pioneer amongst managed hosting providers by utilizing IPv6 within our network.
Why would I use it?
Many governments around the world are requiring a major changeover to IPv6, to the point where the United States Government plans to fully deploy IPv6 for their network backbones by the year 2008. Because of this initiative, many businesses have followed suit in order to not only retain compatibility with the governments needs, but to be able to provide for any other future needs as well.
